Constipation Prevention Recommendations in Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery Operations

Constipation is one of the most common conditions in Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery operations. Constipation problem becomes the fearful dream of patients in liposuction, bbl and especially tummy tuck surgery.

The difficulties experienced by the patients sitting on the toilet, the difficulties experienced in gas extraction, and the anxiety about whether my stitches will burst if I force them, make this already stressful period even more difficult.

In fact, it is not that difficult to minimize these problems. You can get over these problems lightly with a few precautions you can take.

Why Do We Get Constipated

There are some factors that cause constipation problems during plastic and aesthetic surgeries.

1) Stress

Stress is one of the causes of constipation. With the approach of your surgery date, your stress may increase without realizing it. You may have trouble sleeping at night.

2) Travel and Air Exchange

We organize plastic and aesthetic surgeries in Turkey. The length of time you will stay in Turkey depends on the surgery you will have. Different climatic conditions can affect people’s metabolism. This condition can cause constipation.

3) Eating Habits

The food culture of the country you go to can change your bowel habits. Even the water you drink and the chocolate you eat can have different flavors in that country. One of the conditions that cause constipation is changing your eating habits.

4) Medicines

The most important factor is that the fluids given to you during and after the operation in the form of anesthesia, painkillers, antibiotics, and serum cause constipation. Constipation can occur after surgery when other factors I have mentioned before are added to this.
